Connect campaigns send Meta-approved templates (business-initiated). Meta bills delivered conversations to your WhatsApp Business Account at Meta’s rates. Connect adds no markup and no per-message fee.

Service messages from 1 October 2026
From 1 October 2026, Meta bills utility templates inside the customer-care window at the utility rate. Service (freeform) replies are billed at that same rate after 1,000 free delivered service messages per business phone number each month. Unused free messages do not roll over. Marketing templates remain billed in all cases. Connect campaigns send templates; freeform session replies are not in this product yet.
Example after the changeover: the first 1,000 delivered service replies on one German business number are €0 from Meta. Message 1,001 is about 0,05 € at the Germany utility rate. Utility templates do not use this free allowance.
Connect campaigns send Meta-approved templates. Freeform session replies are not part of this product yet, so this allowance does not currently reduce campaign Meta cost.
Platform fee compared
You pay Meta directly. Connect does not resell WhatsApp or add a per-message surcharge.
Typical CPaaS
Meta pass-through plus about 0,005 € per inbound and outbound message. For 1,000 messages that is about 5,00 € on top of Meta, with no free production tier on several large platforms.

Can I start without a credit card?
Yes. The Starter plan is free and does not require payment details. Growth checkout can include a 14-day trial when enabled for your workspace.
What do plan message limits include?
Plan message caps are Connect platform usage: one platform message per send that Meta later confirms as sent or delivered. They are not Meta conversation credits. WhatsApp delivery is billed by Meta to your WhatsApp Business Account in addition to the Connect subscription.
Does Connect mark up WhatsApp?
No. Connect is not a WhatsApp reseller. Meta bills template delivery to your WABA at Meta’s rates. Connect does not add a per-message fee.
Do personal WhatsApp chats make campaign sends free?
No. Connect campaigns send Meta-approved templates (business-initiated). A prior conversation in the WhatsApp mobile app with a teammate’s personal account does not open the Cloud API customer-care window for your WABA. Meta bills the template category even if you recently messaged the contact elsewhere.
What is the 24-hour customer-care window?
The Cloud API window opens when a customer messages your WhatsApp Business number. Until 1 October 2026, utility templates inside that window and service (freeform) replies are free from Meta. Marketing templates are always billed. Connect campaigns currently send templates; in-window session replies are not included in this product yet.
What changes on 1 October 2026?
From 1 October 2026, Meta bills utility templates inside the customer-care window at the utility rate. Service (freeform) replies are billed at that same rate after 1,000 free delivered service messages per business phone number each month. Unused free messages do not roll over. Are rates inclusive of VAT?
No. Published Meta rates are exclusive of VAT. German customers may see 19% MwSt on Meta’s invoice. Connect subscriptions are billed in EUR by Stripe according to your account’s tax settings.
Do failed messages use my Connect quota?
No. Connect counts a platform message only after Meta confirms sent or delivered. Failures such as payment eligibility error #131042 do not consume Connect quota. Meta also does not charge for messages that are not delivered.
Where do I add a WhatsApp payment method?
Add the payment method and currency on the WhatsApp Business Account itself — not on Facebook Ads. Meta invoices template delivery to that WABA.
Do you offer annual billing?
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Annual invoices are not available as a self-serve option.
