WhatsApp marketing, utility, and authentication messages generally require templates approved by Meta. Store templates in OESCOM Connect with variables such as {{firstName}}. The template category is a cost signal: Meta bills Marketing at a higher rate than Utility or Authentication, always on Marketing, and Connect does not add a per-message fee.

• Keep marketing copy aligned with Meta category rules
• Use Marketing only when the content is promotional — Utility is cheaper on Meta
• Use clear variable names your team will recognize
